NVIDIA's GM107 GPU uses the Maxwell architecture and is made using a 28 nm production process at TSMC. With a die size of 148 mm² and a transistor count of 1,870 million it is a small chip. GM107 supports DirectX 12 (Feature Level 11_0). For GPU compute applications, OpenCL version 1.2 and CUDA 5.0 can be used. It features 640 shading units, 40 texture mapping units and 16 ROPs.
